THE WINGS

She loved him so very much
that love was so very great
that she decided that for him
beautiful skies and wings she’d make

And he loved her so very much
so very great was that love
he wanted to place her on his wings
and take her to the skies above

And she loved him so very much
that love was oh so very great
that she told him: if I sit there
the wings you have I’ll surely break

But he loved her so very much
that love was so very great
that he laid down on the green grass
and slowly his wings off he did take

And she loved him so very much
so very great was that love of theirs,
she learned right there, on the green grass,
of those wings they both had a pair.
